Public transit

The Washington Park FREE shuttle is now in operation. See information on our home page.
Go green! Take TriMet’s MAX light rail Red or Blue Lines to Washington Park Station. To get to the Rose Garden, Portland Japanese Garden, and the Hoyt Arboretum Visitor’s Center from there take TriMet’s Bus Line 63 on weekdays and TriMet’s Bus Line 83 on weekends. These buses also provide connection to downtown Portland. For help planning your trip, or additional public transportation questions, please visit www.trimet.org.

Walk or bicycle

Walking or biking to Washington Park is a fun and healthy way to experience all that Washington Park has to offer. Additional information on biking in Portland can be found on the Portland Bureau of Transportation’s Active Transportation webpage.

Drive

The south entrance to the park is 5 minutes from downtown Portland off Highway 26 West. Take exit 72. For information on parking in Washington Park click here.

 

The Washington Park Transportation Management Association (TMA)

The goal of the Washington Park TMA is to implement a diverse and innovative package of access management tools that maximize safe and convenient access to and from the Park, its institutions and the adjacent neighborhoods.

 

The TMA’s Board meetings are open to the public and public comment is welcome contingent on time, as detailed in the WPTMA Board Meeting Policy. Board meetings are held at 8:00 AM on the second Thursday of every month at the following location:
